Ex - Heritage Numismatic Auctions,
Inc.'s "Texas Collection," January 4, 2001, Lot 4020, where it
was described as follows: "1882 $50 Second Charter Date Back,
Fr-563, Fine. A beautiful note that retains some crispness and is solid
for the grade, but there are too many wrinkles for a higher grade. The
signatures are slightly faded, but there are no significant defects
worthy of mention. Only 900 sheets of this type were issued by this
bank, and, needless to say, all high denomination second charter notes
from Texas are rare. Just 10 notes, all large size, are reported in the
census. The bank was chartered in 1882, and went into receivership in
1926, issuing only large size currency."
